New Call for Proposals from the Pluralism and Coexistence Foundation (Line 3)


Aimed at public administrations, universities and non-profit entities, its purpose is to support the development of activities aimed at promoting the improvement of knowledge and the accommodation of religious diversity in a framework of dialogue, promotion of coexistence and combat of intolerance and hate speech. Final deadline on October 8, 2018.

Signing of an agreement with the Local Police of Madrid

The agreement formalizes the collaboration between the Foundation and the Diversity Management Unit of the Municipal Police, in order to promote religious freedom through cooperation with the confessions.

As a result of this agreement, on July 31, a working meeting was held between representatives of the different confessions and those responsible for the Diversity Management Unit.

Presentation of "Entrelazados" in Santander

On September 12, in collaboration with the Government of Cantabria, the book "Entrelazados. Minorías religiosas en Asturias, Cantabria y La Rioja”, directed by Gorka Urrutia Asua, was presented in Santander. It is the fifteenth volume of the Pluralism and Coexistence collection.

We highlight our participation in:

- Course "Current trends in mediation and conflict management: challenges and proposals", organized by the Menéndez Pelayo International University. It took place from July 25 to 27 in Santander.

- Policy and Practice Event "Engaging with communities" organized by the Radicalisation Awareness Network (RAN) in Berlin (Germany) on September 28.

New projects

"Change the frame: new perspectives for an intercultural society". Through this project, funded by the Fundación"la Caixa" and in collaboration with the Fundación Jóvenes y Desarrollo-Madrid, we are committed to transforming social imaginaries about religious beliefs and practices using audiovisual creative practice.

The Foundation will participate in the European Project TandEM, initiative of the International Organization for Migrations, whose objective is to empower young people in the construction of inclusive societies.
